After a couple of phone conversations with Dr. Neumayer and the nurses, Laura’s surgery was scheduled for tomorrow morning (May 22, 2009) at 7:00. We will be leaving Brigham City at 4:30 AM.
Laura will have a single mastectomy on her right breast. There was an option to do both breasts, but Dr. Neumayer didn’t advise it. It is clear of cancer and the chance of it showing up there is low enough that removing the healthy breast was not advised.Laura got her hair cut short today. She has been trying to tie it back to see how she is going to look after the chemo starts. It won’t make any difference to me.
