Chemo Session No. 3 of 4 tool place on Friday, July 31. 2009. It went as expected again but with more troubles with the needle placement. Laura got poked 3 times before they got the I.V. placed properly. She got some bad bruises. But, the chemo was infused and Laura is now slowly recovering. She has taken the usual nausea medications and seems to be doing well. But, she has been feeling more and more tired with each consecutive treatment. We are very glad there is only one more scheduled.
We are also working on getting the radiation treatments lined up. Laura would still like to get them done closer to home since the treatments will be every weekday for 6 weeks.
Thanks to all our family and friends who have been so supportive. Laura has been given flowers, gifts and hugs from many. It has helped us all. Here is a picture of Laura, taken last week as we toured Thanksgiving Point’s Botanical Garden.
